
As a competitor, trainer and breeder we offer clinics with that lend knowledge from different facets of the industry. The aims of our clinics is too instil confidence, understanding & purpose in horse and rider combinations.
Kate is a qualified Horse Safety Australia instructor, probational level one judge for the Australia Stock Horse Society & is fully insured. We work with small groups with a maximum of 10 participants that can get both group demonstrations and one on one time. Our clinics aim to educate and encourage with a warm and welcome social aspect.
TWO DAY HORSEMANSHIP
CLINIC
This is our "fundamentals clinic" where we cover the foundations of our training program over two days. This clinic is suitable for all levels.
Aims for this clinic include:
- Building confidence in both horse and handler
- Establishing understanding of equine psychology
- Creating softness in the horse through refining our feel
- Understanding how to break down manouvrers into simple exercises
- How to use our techniques to communicate clearly and overcome potential problems
- Improve both groundwork & ridden skills


TWO DAY STOCK HORSE
CLINIC
Our stock horse clinics are in introduction into stock horse competition. They are the perfect first step to starting in the show ring with confidence, an ideal first outing for your young/green horse or an opportunity to brush up on your skills & knowledge before show season.
In this clinic we cover:
- What are judges looking for? A closer look at type & conformation
- Attire for horse and handler
- Led class ring craft
- Hack patterns: how to use your space, correct use of markers, definition of terms, how to obtain more points for your score.
- Working patterns
- Time trial/utility: getting your horse to use itself correctly through obstacles, confidence opening and shutting the gate, correctness then speed for horses that are ready.
- Whip cracking: How to crack a whip & how to introduce one to your horse for the first time.
